As BBC Radio Jazz Night presenter Seonaid Aitken describes ‘Ruta Di definitely has her own unique vocal sound, that’s for sure’. London based singer and guitarist Ruta Di stands out amongst other musicians because of her virtuosity and dexterity on both guitar and vocals -beautiful voice with incredible range that she pairs wonderfully with tasteful guitar solos and catchy hooks.
A rich and inventive blend of neo-soul, jazz, rock, classical and Brazilian music with heartfelt lyrics creates a very special sound that touches and moves.

JARMAN
A play written and performed by Mark Farrelly
Directed by Sarah-Louise Young
---
"A mighty spirit is about to reawaken. Yours."
Derek Jarman: film-maker, painter, gardener at Prospect Cottage, activist, writer… his influence remains as strong as it was on the day AIDS killed him in 1994. But his story, one of the most extraordinary lives ever lived, has never been told. Until now.
This vibrant new solo play by Mark Farrelly (Quentin Crisp: Naked Hope, Howerd’s End) brings Derek back into being for a passionate, daring reminder of the courage it takes to truly live while you’re alive. A journey from Dungeness to deepest, brightest Soho and into the heart of one of our most iconoclastic artists.
8pm - doors from 7pm
Running time: 80 mins no interval
Tickets £14.50
