Meet the team of the hill station cafe

Jacqui is our amazing founder and has been at the cafe since 2013. She is a lover of camping and has her own camper van.  You will see her often around the cafe. Jacqui speaks for all the team when she says. “One of the reasons people come here is the sense of connection and the warm welcome from our staff. It feels like they belong here, and they do!” 

George, Our wonderful General manager. Described by the team as nuts, but very kind. George is a huge music fan and loves collecting vinyl music. 

You may see him occasionally behind the DJ turntables. He is responsible for bringing a lot of new talent to the cafe . From DJ's and Musicians to comedy shows and quiz nights. 

Meet Luna, our funny, hardworking bartender,  She makes a mean coffee and pours an epic pint. She Always has  a smile on her face. Luna loves karaoke and singing and is a big animal fan. If a furry pup makes its way into the cafe, Luna will be there . She often brings in her own furry pup Zico. Who will often be found trying to steal the dog treats.

The incredibly talented Aga. She is our Kitchen manager and chef. Originally from Poland,. Aga has worked with us since 2010. She started as a volunteer to help learn English. Her family has beehives back in Poland making delicious honey, which is available to buy in our Hill Trader shop. She recommends you try her vegan blueberry, Lemon and banana cake.  

Frankie has been with the cafe for 10 years.

He is an avid wrestling fan and if you see him in the cafe, be sure to ask him about his collection of reptiles. Frankie owns a Boa, a Python, tarantulas and Lizards. He recommends you try our Lentil soup!! 

Meet Ewan, our Barista and social media guru. He has worked at the cafe for 4 years, which is the longest hes ever stayed at one place.

He loves a slice of Aga's banana loaf in the morning, along with a Long black or an Americano coffee. Ewan has a Masters degree in music and is often out scouting for new talent to bring to the cafe.

Elaine  is a massive prince fan. You will be able to recognize her around the cage but her always changing but always purple nails. She loves to dance and is responsible for our beautiful window designs you see here at the cafe. 

This is Kelechi, She has been at the cafe for almost 10 years. She is an avid baker and loves Aga's Ricotta and almond cake. She travels  to Nigeria every year for a Holiday and loves eating all the local cuisine. Fun fact. she doesn't drink Tea or Coffee which working here at the cafe is a unique trait.
